Jotatemp 1000 is a heat-resistant primer with the widest temperature resistance range on the market. It is a multi-polymer coating designed to withstand extreme conditions, with film integrity from as low as -196°C to as high as 1000°C continuous surface temperature. Suitable for both insulated and uninsulated surfaces, Jotatemp 1000 can be used as either a primer or finish coat in atmospheric environments. It provides excellent corrosion protection for carbon steel during construction and shutdown periods at ambient temperatures. The coating offers outstanding corrosion resistance under insulation at operating temperatures above 250°C.
Jotatemp 1000 helps reduce maintenance downtime costs because it can be applied on hot surfaces up to 250°C and accepts St2 surface preparation. It cures at ambient temperature, improving corrosion and abrasion resistance and significantly reducing the need for on-site repairs. Thanks to its inorganic binder formulation, the coating does not chalk under UV exposure. It has been tested and certified for corrosion protection under insulation. Optimized for carbon steel and ceramic substrates, it is recommended to contact your local Technical Support Service (TSS) team for advice on other substrates.
